Ya, seems my money is better off staying with me then with them in the end. Posted on May 16th 2018, 21:10 Reply #7 coonbro I'm happy to see there's some hope for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R franchise, but they have pretty high bar to surpass if they want to impress, some games have come a long way since 2010. There's a large amount of survival games out there to keep one occupied.Ī game sequel I'm more interested in is MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, now that franchise has been dead in the water for a whole lot longer, last official game was made in 2002 and not even by the makers themselves, because it was like a standalone expansion pack. Even as a fan, I'm not desperate for a new game. S.T.A.L.K.E.R is a recent memory to me because I played it just a few years ago for the first time. You create your own story, you can have your own objective and don't have to follow any plot but your own to succeed. Can be a hoax or not, there's enough games like this already, unless they want to continue the storyline that badly.ĬoP with Call of Chernobyl or Misery is unbeatable. It's the community that fixed the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games. If this is on UE4 and is fully moddable, I don't really care that much on how it turns out. Posted on May 16th 2018, 20:21 Reply #6 EntropyZ I'm excited to see an official announcement and I can't wait to see what they can offer. They released at $39.99 whereas other games were going out for $49.99 to $59.99. STALKER games are the only games in all the past years that I actually paid full, retail price when they were released. I thought Call of Pripayt was the weakest of the group - it brought back some of the creepy atmosphere that CoS had and CS lacked, but it felt kind of empty. I thought Shadow of Chernobyl had the best atmosphere out of the three and was pretty solid game, even with some AI hiccups and without any mods. Go with Bandits and pretty much everyone hated you and you were shot at on sight. Go with STALKERS, bandits hated you and other factions pretty tolerated you. I had fun trying out all the different factions to see how the world NPCs would change towards you. Unlike most folks, I enjoyed Clear Sky the most - dropped 100+ hours into it.
